Wayzata Football Team Beats Blaine in Opener
The Wayzata football team beat Blaine 19-0 in the season opener Thursday.
Christian Vasser scored to put the Trojans ahead 7-0 in the second quarter.
Right before halftime Wayzata added to the lead as Thomas Schmidt connected with Jacob Wildermuth for a touchdown strike.
Malaki Jackson added a touchdown run in the second half and the Wayzata defense did the rest, shutting out the Bengals.
They held Blaine to just under 200 yards of offense in the game.
