Wayzata Clay Target Team Makes Eighth State Tournament Appearance, Places 20th Overall

Since 2014, when the MSHSL became the first state high school athletic association in the U.S. to recognize and support a trap shooting tournament, the Wayzata clay target team has made eight state tournament appearances.

The Trojans have been one of the most consistent programs in the state and finished 20th last Friday in Prior Lake at the 2024 MSHSL clay target state championship.

Senior shooter Ben Fox also competed in the individual state tournament and placed 78th overall, shooting a 90.
