Wayzata Boys Tennis Duo Wins State Doubles Title

The Wayzata team of Tanay Panguluri and Jacob Salisbury captured the state class AA doubles championship Friday, beating Orono’s Anthony Perrill and Quinn Martini 6-2, 6-4.

They avenged a loss to the Orono team in the Section 5AA final, with a fast start a key to their championship win.

Wayzata’s Aaron Beduhn pulled out an amazing 3 ½ hour, three-set semifinal thriller to advance to the singles final. Beduhn started strong but lost to top seed Tej Bhagra of Rochester Mayo 6-4, 6-4 in the final.
