Wayzata Boys Tennis Beats Orono for Section 5AA Title
The Wayzata boys tennis team is headed to the state tournament after beating Orono 6-1 in the Section 5AA championship match.
The Trojans won in straight sets in each match with the exception of Orono’s lone win at second singles.
The Spartans defeated Wayzata in the section final last season on their way to the state title.
Section singles and doubles play is going on Wednesday and Thursday.
The state team tournament for class AA is June 6th and 7th at Baseline Tennis Center at the University of Minnesota.
State singles and doubles competition is June 8th and 9th, also at Baseline.
