Wayzata Boys Tennis Beats Maple Grove in Section 5AA Final
The top-ranked Wayzata boys tennis team beat Maple Grove 5-2 to win the Section 5AA title Friday.
The Trojans won three of the four singles matches, and two of the three doubles contests on the way to the win.
Maple Grove won at third singles and second doubles.
Wayzata will open play in the state Class AA team tournament Tuesday June 8 at Prior Lake High School.
Section 5AA singles and doubles competition for Wayzata and Maple Grove is next week.
