Wayzata Boys Lacrosse Beats Rogers
The Wayzata boys lacrosse team fell behind 4-0 early but rallied to beat Rogers 11-9 Thursday night.
After trailing 4-2 after one quarter, the Trojans surged ahead with four straight goals in the second quarter.
Rogers responded with three of its own, including a goal by Tye Reinbold with one second left in the first half to take an 8-6 lead.
Wayzata netted the only three goals of the third quarter to go back in front 9-8.
After Rogers tied it early in the fourth quarter, Wayzata’s Avery Darula and Hayden Davison scored to give the Trojans the win.
Davison had four goals for Wayzata, with Robbie Chermak scoring three and Drew Goetz two.
Reinbold, Lan Tran, and Eric Pearson each had two goals for Rogers.
Wayzata improved to 2-3 this season with the win; Rogers drops to 0-3.
