Wayzata Boys Hockey Takes Down #1 Eden Prairie
The Wayzata boys hockey team scored a big win Thursday, beating top ranked Eden Prairie 2-1.
After a scoreless first period, the Trojans scored twice in a four minute span in the second period.
Dylan Lewis scored on a backhander for a 1-0 lead.
Drew Streeter added a goal on a 2-on-1 rush to give Wayzata a 2-0 lead through two periods.
Eden Prairie came on strong early in the third period and Riku Brown’s deflection goal made it 2-1.
Wayzata goalie Garret Bonello and his defense held off the Eagles from there to secure the win.
