Wayzata Boys Hockey Set for Big Season
The Wayzata boys hockey team has 12 seniors as they skate into the 2023-’24 season.
The Trojans open play this weekend as they host the annual CCX Media Turkey Trot tournament at Plymouth Ice Center.
Maple Grove, Edina, and Moorhead are also in action at the Turkey Trot.
Wayzata has a deep team, with a good forward group led by captains Rhys Wallin, Jake Mattson, Cade De St. Hubert, and Luke Miller.
They also return five defensemen, with Hawke Huff being one of the standouts.
They will have to replace one of the state’s top goalies, Will Ingemann, who graduated.
