Wayzata Boys Hockey Ready for 6AA Section Final Showdown with Edina
For a third straight season, it will be Wayzata vs. Edina in the Section 6AA boys hockey final.
The Hornets have had the Trojans’ number the past two seasons, knocking Wayzata out of the postseason one game short of the state tournament.
This year, the Trojans played the Hornets twice in the regular season, beating Edina 4-3 in overtime at home and tying on the road 4-4.
Wayzata comes into the final with a 16-8-3 record and defeated Hopkins and Benilde-St. Margaret’s in the 6AA quarterfinal and semifinal rounds.
After playing in recent years at Bloomington Ice Garden, the Section 6AA final will be played on Wednesday night at 6:00 at Ridder Arena.
