Wayzata Boys Hockey Falls to Minnetonka
The Wayzata boys hockey team lost top top-ranked Minnetonka 4-2 Thursday as the teams split their regular season series.
Brittan Alstead scored on a rebound to give the Trojans a 1-0 lead in the first period but the Skippers scored the first three goals of the second period to take the lead for good.
Luke Miller netted Wayzata’s second goal of the night on the powerplay, but Minnetonka scored on the next shift for the final goal of the night.
John Stout scored a goal and added two assists to lead the Skippers who improved to 18-2-0 on the season.
The Trojans, now winless in their past five games, dropped to 13-5-2.
