Wayzata Boys Hockey Beats Hill-Murray
The Wayzata boys hockey team beat Hill-Murray 4-3 in overtime in the first round of the Tradition at the PIC tournament.
Hill-Murray scored two goals in the first period to take 2-0 lead after one period.
Wayzata scored one in the second, then tied it up on a goal by Hayden Davison five minutes into the third.
The Pioneers regained the lead on a goal by Nick Pierre.
The Trojans answered on Jack Kimlinger’s goal with just over three minutes remaining in the third period.
Ben Luedtke scored the game-winner in overtime for the Trojans.
Wayzata is now 6-0-1 in its last seven games.
The Trojans are playing St. Michael-Albertville Friday afternoon in the second round.
