Wayzata Boys Basketball Wins 6AAAA, Advances to State
The Wayzata boys basketball team got off to a hot start Tuesday night and never looked back on the way to a 77-55 win over Minneapolis South in the Section 6AAAA championship game.
The Trojans had leads of 7-0, 24-5 and 36-10 on the Tigers and led 41-21 at halftime. South never got closer than 16 points in the second half.
Carter Bjerke scored 24 points to lead the Trojans. Spencer Hall added 15, while Drew Berkland and Hayden Tibbits scored 11 each.

Wayzata (25-4) is the defending state Class AAAA champion and will open state tournament play next Tuesday.
