Wayzata Boys Basketball Shoots for Top
The Wayzata boys basketball team has been a frequent visitor to the state tournament in recent seasons, winning class AAAA titles in 2021 and 2023 and finishing second in 2022 and 2024.
The Trojans lost Mr. Basketball winner Jackson McAndrew to graduation but they return all-conference players Wyatt McBeth, Isaac Olmstead, and Christian Wiggins and also added all-Lake pick Nolen Anderson from Eden Prairie.
Wayzata opens the season Tuesday at home against Prior Lake before facing Orono and then three-time defending class AAA champion Totino-Grace later this week.
