Wayzata Boys Basketball Rolls Past Maple Grove in Home Opener
The Wayzata boys basketball team earned a wire-to-wire 75-42 win over Maple Grove in their home opener of the 2023-24 season.
The Trojans jumped out to an 11-0 lead to start the game.
Jackson McAndrew led the way for the Trojans with 26 points, Christian Wiggins added 12 points.
The Wayzata defense was stifling, forcing several turnovers that led to fast break points the other way.
The Trojans held the Crimson without a field goal until the 3:30 mark of the first half.
Maple Grove was led in scoring by Henry Stang with 14 points.
The Trojans advance to 2-0 on the season, while Maple Grove drops to 1-2.
