Wayzata Boys Basketball Rolls Past Hopkins, Earns 4th Straight Section Title
For a fourth consecutive year, the Wayzata boys basketball team won the Section 6AAAA championship, with a 105-76 win over Hopkins.
The Trojans hit eleven three-pointers in the first half and eighteen total in the game to run past the Royals.
Jackson McAndrew hit six triples and scored a career-high 40 points in the win. Christian Wiggins poured in 20 points and Isaac Olmstead added 18.
For the Royals, Anthony Smith III led the way with 31 and Jayden Moore scored 22.
Hopkins finishes their season with a 23-6 record. The Trojans will look to defend their Class AAAA state championship next week.
