Wayzata Boys Basketball Aims for Another State Title
The Wayzata boys basketball team is back in the state tournament for a fourth straight year—and gunning for another state title.
The Trojans won the Class AAAA tournament in 2021 and 2023 and were runners-up in 2022.
The top-ranked Trojans (27-1) are the top seed for the tournament and face unseeded Rogers (21-8) in the quarterfinals Wednesday at 10:00 am at Target Center.
The team features four players who average scoring in double figures, led by Star Tribune Metro Player of the Year Jackson McAndrew who is averaging 23.6 points per game.
Wayzata is making its sixth state tournament appearance since 2017.
