Wayzata Baseball Primed for Big Season
The Wayzata baseball team is primed for a big season after the 2020 season was cancelled due to COVID-19.
The Trojans are ranked ninth in class AAAA and are 3-0 to start the season.
Wayzata has wins over Maple Grove, Totino-Grace, and Chanhassen.
A pitching staff that head coach Bobby DeWitt calls the deepest and potentially best he’s had at Wayzata leads the way.
The baseball players saw the Wayzata boys hockey team reach the state semifinals and the boys basketball team win a state title to end the winter season.
They hope to be in contention to have that kind of success when June rolls around.
