Wayzata Baseball Loses in Extra Innings to STMA
The Wayzata baseball team lost its second straight one-run game, losing 2-1 in nine innings to St. Michael-Albertville.
Jonathon Pribula’s run-scoring single in the second inning scored Brady Lash and accounted for the Trojans’ only run.
Wayzata starter Riley Leatherman pitched six innings, allowing three hits and one unearned run, striking out seven.
Knights’ starting pitcher Zach Romans threw 8 2/3 innings, allowing just five hits and an unearned run while striking out eight.
STMA scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning when Thomas Ohotto singled to deep rightfield scoring Hayden Olson from second base.
The Trojans enter play this week with a 3-6 record.
The Knights are 7-2 following a Saturday loss to Hopkins.
