Wayzata Baseball Drops State Opener
The Wayzata baseball dropped its state tournament opener, losing 6-1 to Blaine in the class AAAA quarterfinals.
The Trojans took a 1-0 lead in the third inning and held that lead until the fifth.
Blaine rallied with two runs in the fifth and four more in the sixth to secure the win.
Wayzata did bounce back to beat Mounds View in their first consolation game.
