Wayzata Baseball Advances to 6AAAA Final
The Wayzata baseball team advanced to the Section 6AAAA championship game with a 3-2 win over Edina.
The Trojans scored three runs in the second inning with Matthew Berkland and Brady Lash driving in runs and another run scoring on a wild pitch.
Riley Leatherman pitched five plus innings to earn the win. John Skoro got the save and ended the game with a strikeout.
Wayzata (18-5) plays either Edina or St. Louis Park Thursday afternoon at Parade Stadium in Minneapolis.
The Hornets face St. Louis Park in an elimination game Wednesday with the winner advancing to play the Trojans.
