Wayzata American Legion Baseball Beats Chanhassen
The Wayzata American Legion baseball team scored three runs in the first and fourth innings on its way to a 7-4 win over Chanhassen in South Hennepin League play Thursday.
The win completed a doubleheader sweep for the Wizards, who beat Buffalo 6-5 earlier.
Wayzata is seeded fifth for the upcoming Sub-State 11 Legion playoffs and will face fourth-seeded Osseo Wednesday at 12 noon at Osseo’s Memorial Field.
The tournament runs Wednesday through Sunday next week with all games played at Osseo.
Elk River is the top seed with Maple Grove seeded second.
