Wayzata 19U Baseball Wins a Thriller
The Wayzata 19U baseball team is playing a shortened schedule this summer after American Legion baseball was canceled due to COVID-19.
Monday night, Wayzata ended the regular season in style.
They trailed Buffalo 3-0 heading into the bottom of the seventh.
With the bases loaded, Brennan Albert drove a ball over the centerfielder’s head.
That drive cleared the bases, and when Buffalo made a throwing error Albert dashed home, diving in with the winning run in a 4-3 thriller.
Wayzata opens playoff competition Tuesday night.
