USA Cup Soccer Underway; MapleBrook 14U Boys Beats Fusion
The MapleBrook boys 14 and under soccer team beat Fusion 1-0 Tuesday morning on the opening day of pool play at the USA Cup tournament in Blaine.
Melvin Loges scored the only goal of the match for MapleBrook (Maple Grove/Brooklyn Park), scoring midway through the second half.
MapleBrook goalie Aaron Collins made several big stops throughout the match to post the shutout over Fusion (Plymouth).
Pool play in most age divisions at USA Cup continues through Thursday with the playoffs Friday and Saturday.
