Undefeated Wayzata Baseball Ready for Class AAAA State Tournament
The Wayzata baseball team went a perfect 24-0 in the regular season and Section 6AAAA tournament.
Now the Trojans are preparing for their final task of the 2024 season: the Class AAAA state tournament.
Wayzata has been dominant all season, scoring 210 runs, while only allowing 48.
Pitchers Riley Leatherman and Noah Filer have led the way for the Trojans on the mound.
Only ten baseball teams in MSHSL history have ever finished a season with an undefeated record as the Trojans look to earn their first baseball state championship since 2016.
Wayzata will open the state tournament against St. Cloud at CHS Field in St. Paul Thursday at 4:30 PM.
