Totino-Grace Wrestling Falls in State Opener
The Totino-Grace wrestling team fell in its state tournament opener in the class AA team tournament.
Third seed Waconia beat the Eagles 48-16 in the quarterfinals.
The Eagles took a brief lead after Jake Svihel’s pin in the 132-pound match.
Waconia dominated from there, winning eight of the next nine matches.
Totino-Grace did bounce back to beat Mahtomedi to advance to the consolation final.
