Totino-Grace Volleyball Falls in Five Set Heartbreaker in Section 5AAA Final
The Totino-Grace volleyball team lost a five-set heartbreaker to Monticello in the Section 5AAA final.
Monticello prevailed 15-25, 25-20, 27-25, 13-25, 15-12.
Third seed Totino-Grace came out strong to win the opening set against the top-seeded Magic.
The match was close all night, with Monticello pulling out a key 27-25 win in the third to go up 2-1.
Grace responded with a good fourth set, and they started fast in the fifth as well.
TG had a 7-4 lead in the fifth but were outscored 11-5 from there.
Monticello qualified for state for the first time in volleyball.
