Totino-Grace Legion Baseball Tops Champlin Park in Sub-State 8 Final
The Totino-Grace American Legion baseball team scored three runs in the third inning and three more in the fourth on the way to a 7-2 win over Champlin Park in the final game of the Sub-State 8 tournament.
Both teams advance to this week’s state tournament, hosted by Maple Grove, with T-G earning the sub-state’s top seed.
Totino-Grace, also known as Fridley Gold, plays Rochester in its first state tournament game Thursday at 2:30 pm in St. Michael. The Eagles then play Bemidji at 5:00 pm.
Champlin Park plays its first state game against Osseo Thursday at 1:00 pm at Osseo’s Memorial Field and then meet Pierz at 3:30 pm.
