Totino-Grace Legion Baseball Rallies Late, But Comes Up Short in State Quarterfinals
The Totino-Grace Legion Baseball team made a fierce rally in their American Legion Baseball State tournament quarterfinal game vs. Forest Lake, but came up short in a 7-4 loss.
The Eagles were down 7-0 heading into the top of the sixth inning. Jake Rantz got the bats going with an RBI single to centerfield. Kellen Westphal was the very next batter and hit a 3-run home run that cut the deficit down to three runs.
T-G had the tying run at the plate in the seventh inning, but couldn’t score any runs in the final inning and were eliminated by Forest Lake.
