Totino-Grace Girls Basketball Set for Section Final
The Totino-Grace girls basketball team is getting set to face Monticello Thursday in the Section 5AAA championship game.
The Eagles, the fourth seed for the tournament, upset top seed Becker 53-38 with a strong second half in the semifinals Saturday.
Totino-Grace has had its ups and downs this season against mostly class AAAA teams in the Northwest Suburban Conference.
They lost seven of their last eight regular season games and carry a 16-11 record into the Section 5AAA final against second seed Monticello.
That game is Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at St. Michael-Albertville High School.
Totino-Grace won the state class AAA title two seasons ago.
