Totino-Grace Girls Basketball Gets Blitzed by Rogers
The Totino-Grace girls basketball team started slow and never recovered in an 87-65 loss to Rogers.
The Eagles are ranked fifth in the state class AAA poll, but couldn’t keep pace with the Royals.
Rogers jumped out to a 17-7 lead and had a 57-33 lead at halftime.
Katelyn Maciej scored 19 to lead a balanced attack for Rogers. Emily Glass and Ellie Buzzelle had 17 each and Clara Glad 12 for the Royals.
Leah Dengerud scored 22 for the Eagles, with Itoro Etuko and Hannah Herzig adding 15 apiece.
Totino-Grace dropped to 10-4 with the loss, which broke a four-game winning streak for the Eagles.
