Totino-Grace Football Season Ends with State Quarterfinal Loss
The Totino-Grace football team lost to Hutchinson in the Class AAAA state tournament quarterfinals 44-12 on Thursday.
The Tigers scored two quick rushing touchdowns in the first half, but the Eagles answered at the start of the second quarter with a 31-yard touchdown run from Marquel Keten.
Totino-Grace got another big play at the end of the first half when Will Brands intercepted a Hutchinson pass in the endzone.
Hutch ran away from TG in the second half though. Junior running back Nathan Thode ran for 258 yards and four touchdowns.
The Eagles finish their season with a 7-4 record.
Hutchinson advances to the state semifinals to play North Branch next Friday afternoon at U.S. Bank Stadium.
