Totino-Grace Football Beats Orono, Advances to Prep Bowl
The Totino-Grace football team will be playing in a state championship game for the first time since 2016.
The Eagles beat Orono in the Class 4A state semifinals Friday 30-21.
Totino-Grace scored three straight rushing touchdowns to head into halftime up 24-7, including a 64-yard touchdown run by Marquel Keten with 10 seconds remaining.
The Spartans got the lead down to three points in the second half, but Emmanuel Benson came up with a big interception near the goal line and Jimmy McNeil went three-for-three on field goals to hold Orono off.
The Eagles will play Becker in the Class 4A state championship at 1:00 PM next Friday.
