Totino-Grace Boys Basketball Uses Big 2nd Half to Beat Monticello
The Totino-Grace boys basketball outscored Monticello 54-28 in the second half on the way to a 76-52 win in the Section 5AAA championship game.
Trailing 22-8 with just over seven minutes to play in the first half, the Eagles closed the half on a 16-2 scoring run and then scored the first 15 points in the second half to secure the win.
Chace Watley scored 23 points to lead the Eagles in scoring. Dothan Ijadmbola added 17 and Malachi Hill as Totino-Grace improved to 22-5 on the season.
Jackson Soroko scored 18 points to lead the Magic (24-5) in scoring.

Totino-Grace has won the AAA state tournament three seasons in a row and will find out Saturday their quarterfinal round opponent.
The state tournament begins Tuesday in Minneapolis.
