Totino-Grace Boys Basketball Repeats as Class AAA Champion
The Totino-Grace boys basketball team held off a rally by DeLaSalle to beat the Islanders 50-46 to win the state class AAA title.
The championship is the second in a row for the Eagles.
After trailing by one at halftime, Totino-Grace came out strong in the second half and built a lead that grew as large as 14.
DeLaSalle battled back, and the Islanders pulled within a point down the stretch.
The Eagles hit free throws to hold on for the win.
Taison Chatman had 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists to lead the Eagles.
Nasir Whitlock had 19 to lead DeLaSalle.
