Totino-Grace Boys Basketball Battles Cretin-Derham Hall, Falls Late 82-77
The Totino-Grace boys basketball team went toe-to-toe with Cretin-Derham Hall, the number one ranked team in class AAAA, but couldn’t hold on late and lost by a score of 82-77.
The Eagles rallied from a nine-point deficit midway through the first half to pull within one point at halftime.
TG took the lead in the second half, but a late run by the Raiders ended up being the difference in the marquee matchup.
Chace Watley poured in a game-high 28 points for the Eagles. Malachi Hill added 12 points and Daniel Zoa chipped in 10.
Tommy Ahneman led the way for the Raiders, scoring 25 points.
With the loss to Cretin-Derham Hall, Totino-Grace is now 6-4 on the year.
