Totino-Grace Baseball Set for State Tournament
The Totino-Grace baseball team is preparing for the state Class AAA tournament.
The Eagles, who started the season 0-5, are now 16-8 after beating Monticello to win the Section 5AAA title.
It is the third trip to state in program history and first since 2012 for Grace.
Monday they scrimmaged a Blake team that has family ties for Totino-Grace.
Eagles assistant Tom Imdieke’s son Ethan, a former Totino-Grace player and assistant coach, is now Blake’s head coach.
The Bears qualified for the class AA tournament.
Totino-Graces opens the Class AAA tournament with a quarterfinal game against Little Falls Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at Chaska Athletic Park.
