Totino-Grace Baseball Beats Mahtomedi to Win First State Title
The Totino-Grace baseball team won the first state title in program history, beating Mahtomedi 2-1 in the class AAA final Saturday at Target Field.
Noah Hill drove in both runs for the Eagles, with RBI singles in the first and third innings.
Tommy Heifort pitched a complete game for Totino-Grace, allowing four hits and striking out eight. It was the third consecutive complete game pitched at the tournament for the Eagles, who were making their first state appearance since 2012.
