Tommy Heifort Leads Totino-Grace Baseball to Shutout State Quarterfinal Win Over Little Falls
In their first state tournament appearance since 2012, the Totino-Grace baseball team came away with a 4-0 shutout win over Little Falls.
Junior pitcher Tommy Heifort earned the complete-game win on the mound, striking out six and allowing seven hits.
Matthew Galatzer’s solo home run in the bottom of the fourth broke a scoreless tie. Galatzer also delivered an RBI single in the fifth inning.
The Eagles advance on to the Class AAA state semifinals, where they’ll face Benilde-St. Margaret’s.
