Terry Tuma Ice Fishing Tip: Drilling Holes
In this week’s CCX Ice Fishing Tip Hall of Fame angler Terry Tuma talks about drilling holes and how many holes to drill on your next ice fishing trip.
Terry says he generally drills 2 to 3 holes in a zig zag pattern, but not too close to each other.
Then drop the transducer from your fish finder down into the hole to see if you are marking any fish. If not, try a different hole.
Terry says it’s important not to drill too many holes as it is a waste of time and can spook the fish.
