Terry Tuma Fishing Tip: Using Lead Core Line for Walleyes
In this week’s CCX fishing tip, Hall of Fame angler Terry Tuma talks about the use of lead core line for catching walleyes.
Terry suggests using 12 to 18 pound test, attached to a barrel swivel and a monofilament leader of 10 feet. Use a line counter reel to know how far out you caught your last fish and/or to gauge how deep your crankbait is running.
Try multiple colors, sizes, and vibration patterns of crankbaits to catch these late summer and early fall walleyes.
