Terry Tuma Fishing Tip: Live Bait Rigging for Walleyes
In this week’s CCX Fishing Tip, Hall of Fame angler Terry Tuma talks about live bait rigging for walleyes.
Terry says he often uses FireLine or braided line for the main line and then attach a barrel swivel and then use fluorocarbon line.
Terry suggests 8-pound test line with a 7-foot rod and spinning reel. Run the line along side your boat at a 45-degree angle.
If in relatively shallow water, run the lure about a foot off the bottom and set the hook quickly after the walleye strikes.
