Terry Tuma Fishing Tip: Boat Batteries
In this week’s CCX Fishing Tip, Hall of Fame angler Terry Tuma talks about getting the most life out of your boat’s marine batteries.
Terry says it’s not necessary to charge the batteries after each trip on the lake, especially if you are only on the water a short time. Letting the battery charge get down to around 25 percent before charging will extend its life.
Terry also suggests doing a load test on the batteries every three to five years to determine its condition.
