State Individual Wrestling Tournament is Underway
The state individual wrestling tournament got started Friday morning on eight mats at the Xcel Center in St. Paul.
Among the local first round winners in class AAA: Wayzata’s Luke Koenen (113 pounds), Logan Swensen (126), Charlie Petit (152) and Adam Cherne (170); Maple Grove’s Connor Peterson (120) and Ben Schultz (195); and Isaiah Wright of Champlin Park (285).
Action continues Friday afternoon and evening and wraps up with championship matches Saturday evening.
