State Girls Swimming and Diving Meet Preview
Competition got underway Thursday at the state high school girls swimming and diving meet. Diving preliminaries are taking place Thursday with swimming prelims in both Class “A” and “AA” scheduled for Friday.
Athletes from Armstrong, Benilde-St. Margaret’s, Breck, Champlin Park, Hopkins, Maple Grove and Wayzata will compete for spots on the medal stand. Wayzata qualified at least one girl in each event.
The Class “A” swimming and diving finals take place starting at noon Saturday with the “AA” finals Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
The Jean Freeman Aquatic Center is the site again for the state meet.
