State Boys Golf, Class AAA Day 1 Highlights
Highlights from the opening day of the state boys golf tournament in Class AAA. Maple Grove is the defending state champion and is in fifth place after 18 holes, 8 shots behind team leader St. Thomas Academy. Payton Miller shot the Crimson’s best score Tuesday with a one-over par round of 73.
A handful of local individuals also qualified for state. Brendan Lee of Wayzata shot a two-over round score of 74. The Class AAA tournament wraps up Wednesday at Bunker Hills.
