Robins Ready for State Adapted Soccer Tournament
The Robbinsdale-Hopkins-Mound-Westonka Robins PI division is ready for the state adapted soccer tournament.
The adapted sports seasons were limited to “practice only” sessions last school year because of the pandemic.
This fall, they are back to competing against other schools.
The schedule wasn’t quite back to normal for the Robins, though.
A limited number of teams, transportation issues, and lingering COVID concerns meant all of the Robins’ games were against Anoka-Hennepin.
The Robins won all five of the regular season contests.
This weekend they are the number two seed for the PI division tournament.
Just six teams are entered this year, while the CI division has the usual eight-team bracket.
The tournament starts Friday, with the Robins having a bye into the semifinals Saturday morning.
Stillwater High School is the site for the state adapted soccer tournament.
