Robins PI Adapted Softball Places Second at State Tournament
The Robbinsdale-Hopkins-Mound-Westonka Robins PI division adapted softball team fell just short of a state title Saturday, losing 5-4 to Dakota United in the championship game.
The game was a rematch of the 2023 championship, also won by Dakota. The Robins took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning and were up 3-1 until Dakota scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth.
The Robins pulled within a run in the top of the seventh but couldn’t get the tying run home.
