Robins PI Adapted Softball Places Second at State Tournament
The Robbinsdale-Hopkins-Mound-Westonka Robins PI division adapted softball team placed second at the state tournament, losing 13-6 to Dakota United in the championship game.
The Robins had advanced with a 9-8 win over Rochester in the semifinals.
After Dakota scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning to build an early lead, the Robins battled back to even the score 4-4 after three innings.
They only scored two more runs the rest of the way as Dakota United added three runs in the fourth, one in the fifth, and five in the sixth to secure their second straight championship.
