Robins PI Adapted Soccer Wins State Title
The Robbinsdale-Hopkins-Mound-Westonka PI division adapted soccer team won the state title with a 4-1 win over Minneapolis South in the championship game.
After a scoreless first half, Jose Leon Estrada got the Robins on the board less than a minute into the second half.
Hector Vega Flores added a goal with about 11 minutes remaining for a 2-0 lead.
Estrada scored twice more as the Robins pulled away for the 4-1 win to finish off an unbeaten season.
They were second in the state tournament last fall and champion in 2021.
