Robins PI Adapted Floor Hockey Places Second at State Tournament
The Robbinsdale-Hopkins-Mound-Westonka Robins PI division adapted floor hockey team advanced to the state championship game Saturday but ran into a tough opponent, losing 5-1 to Dakota United in the final.
The Hawks scored two goals in the first period and added two more in the second before Grady Lease netted the only goal for the Robins.
The Robins had defeated South Suburban and Rochester to advance to the championship game.
Maple Grove (representing all of District 279) won the consolation title in the PI division, beating Minneapolis South 7-1 in the consolation final.
Maple Grove was also consolation champion in the CI division, scoring a 10-9 win over Mankato.
